Welcome & Introduction

As we kick off the 2026-2027 school year, let's introduce FTC! FTC stands for Families, Teachers & Children, and is the parent-teacher organization for Salt Creek District 48, supporting Salt Creek Primary School, Stella May Swartz Elementary School and Albright Middle School. FTC's mission is to support the learning environment and expand the educational experiences in District 48. 

To do this, FTC hosts community building events and fundraisers of all types to raise money for District 48 schools. You can learn more about FTC on our website, where you can find more information on events and fundraisers, meet our executive board and create an account, making it easy to volunteer, fill out forms and donate! Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram as well! Keep reading for upcoming events and fundraisers as well as learning about all the items funded by FTC last school year!

Back to School Forms

Welcome back to school! Please take the time to fill out the 2026/2027 back to school forms! You can do so physically with the forms that came home with your student or (preferably) digitally on the FTC website here! There is a single form this year for membership, volunteer opportunities and donations! This is where you will volunteer to help with your student's room parties and other events! By filling out the membership form, you have the option of having your information available in the FTC directory, allowing you to connect with other families! Please have forms completed by September 18!

Monday 9/21 | FTC Welcome & Parent Volunteer Meeting - Join Us!

ATTENTION ALL PARENTS! Want to learn how to volunteer in your student’s classroom and/or at school events? Do you have ideas or skills you’d like to contribute to District 48's parent teacher organization? Want to know what FTC does and how we raise money for our schools? THIS MEETING IS FOR YOU! Join us in the Albright cafeteria for pizza, snacks, drinks and more info on Monday, September 21 at 6:30!

Tuesday 9/22 | McTeacher Night!

FTC is partnering with McDonald's located at 190 E. Butterfield Rd in Elmhurst from 4 to 7 pm! Teachers from District 48 attend this dine out to meet new students and families, as well as reconnect with prior students!! 20% of sales go back to FTC. Remember to bring CASH for cookies and tips, which are 100% donations!

Coming Soon - Viking Spiritwear!

Keep an eye out for a flyer coming home soon with information on the NEW Viking Spiritwear store! There will be 2 options available this year - the apparel and accessory store will be open throughout the school year so you can order anytime! We will also have fleece blankets available for purchase in person at events or online at our website in October. More information coming soon!

Join FTC at our upcoming meetings as we continue planning for the 2026-2027 school year! New members are always welcome to learn about what FTC does and different ways you can get involved! Involvement can be large or small and we appreciate any way you can give your time! We love to hear new ideas and see new faces! Please see below for our upcoming meeting dates!

Please note that this FTC meeting will directly follow the Welcome & Volunteer Meeting that begins at 6:30.

The FTC Directory is a great place to find information to connect with other District 48 families - find contact information for your student's new friends here! To see and also be added to the directory, you will need to create an account on the FTC website here. Once you create an account, fill out the parent and student information form and choose your directory publishing choices. Once this is complete, you will see the Directory link in the navigation at the top of the website. Please keep in mind that it is each parent's choice to be included and what information is published.
